10 Fun Things To Do While Stuck At Home

Hey FreshFam! We know this quarantine has been hard for a lot of people, and it's hard to stay motivated and entertained while at home all the time. So we put together ten fun things you can do while quarantined at home. Yea, we know we're mainly experts in amazingly comfortable tee shirts -- but we like to think we can get after it a little outside of work also. 

1. Read a book

Remember that book you bought, with every intention of reading it, 7 months ago… Well, it’s time. Find a quiet place in your house and try to get past the first 17 pages. Seriously, you need a break from the screen time and all that Tiger King binging. 

2. Start a new series on Netflix

Ok, ok... now that you finished your book you can get back to binging! You know those shows that everyone talks about, but there’s like 10 seasons, and you just feel like you’re a few years too late? Well, now is your chance to catch up! The Office, Game of Thrones, Homeland, or whatever series you want to watch, you now have the time. Get after it! 

3. Spring breaking... err... cleaning

Being at home all the time is a great excuse to tackle those home projects that you have been neglecting. Whether it’s organizing the laundry room or cleaning under your bed, it will make you feel accomplished when you finish. 

4. Board games 

Family game night anyone? Board games are a great way to pass the time, especially on a weekend. Break out the monopoly, we could be here a while. Plus it gives you a chance to show your competitive side and rip that Fresh Clean Tee off to celebrate the victory. 

5. Play cards  

Do you like to model your gaming after the likes of Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu? Well then break out the deck and maybe the vodka because if you ask us any card game can be turned into a drinking game. A few of our favorite card games (and drinking games): Rummy, Speed, BS, President, and Kings Cup.

6. Call a friend or family member

Nothing passes time like catching up with old friends and family you haven’t seen in a while. If you’re thinking about someone, pick up the phone and give them a call. You know they’ll appreciate it. 7. Get in the kitchen and cook something

There has never been a better time to learn how to cook. With many restaurants closed, or pick up only, if you want a nice sit-down meal, you’re going to have to make it yourself *GASP*. Dust off those old cookbooks, and channel your inner Chef Ramsey.

8. Home workout

We know it’s easy to want to lay on the couch all day, but it’s good to break up the couch time with some activity time. There are tons of free workout resources you can use to get in a good sweat at home. If you need a place to start, check out our World Health Day Blog.

9. Listen to a podcast

Podcasts are great whether you are listening to one during work, while cleaning, or before bed. There are podcasts for anything and everything you could want to listen to, so hop on Spotify and start listening.

10. Learn a new language

Now we know this is easier said than done, but right now is a great time to pick up on a new skill. So download Rosetta Stone, and by the time you’re out of quarantine, you could be fluent!
