With summer in full swing and movie theaters open again, movie-goers are inevitably looking forward to blockbuster flicks on the big screen. One in particular opened today and it’s been at the top of my list. I’m of course talking about F9: The Fast Sage, the ninth movie of the Fast & Furious franchise.
Nine movies of street racers who live for speed while dealing with law enforcement, international spies, and what have you is a pretty perfect formula for the best summer movie. Given all the action sequences, the audience can easily spot a whole lot of easy, comfy basics on the crew.
So, to capture the thrilling style of these rebellious racers, Fresh Clean Tees has looks of Fast & Furious fan-favorite characters from the hit franchise for everyday wear.
Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel)
Dom Toretto has been stylishly causing trouble as a street racer for years. To capture Dom’s style, it’s all about showing off your muscles. To channel a classic look from the first film, I suggest a black crew neck t-shirt that you cut the sleeves off and pair with dark jeans and a silver cross necklace. The white crew neck t-shirt (sans sleeves) or literally any tank top are other items that Dom can rock without trying. Sometimes, he dons a leather bomber jacket as well and somehow looks even cooler.
Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez)
It counts for a lot to have a wonderful partner to be the backbone through tough times, and Letty Ortiz will always be the ride or die to Dom (and vice versa). Like Dom, she likes to show off her arms with tank tops. She often rocks a black tank top or a white tank top, paired with dark skinny jeans. Another suggestion is a heather grey v-neck and jeans to top off with a brown leather jacket.
Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker)
Starting off as an undercover cop and transitioning into one hell of a street racer, Brian O’Conner could pretty much charm anyone with those piercing blue eyes of his. A memorable look on him was a grey crew-neck t-shirt with a navy zip-hoodie and a pair of jeans, plus a solid pair of sneakers for jumping off falling cars.
Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster)
Although a solid driver, Mia Toretto hasn't always been a fan of her brother's illegal going-ons. The love of Brian’s life will always be a grounded character, one who fell for her man after he kept coming to the family’s shop for tuna sandwiches. When Mia eventually helps Brian and Dom during a car chase, she rocks it in a white tank top and black leather jacket and jeans.
Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson)
Once the childhood friend of Brian and later half of a dynamic duo of sorts with Tej, Roman Pearce can adapt. Although at times impulsive with everything in his life, from spending to dating, the man knows how to look fresh. To capture (just a small slice of) his style, go with a slick black v-neck t-shirt and a leather jacket.
Tej Parker (Ludacris)
Forever budding heads in his bromance with Roman (such as razing him for not owning the rarest sports car in the Western Hemisphere), Tej Parker is known for everything from being a master mechanic to a tech whiz to a street race ref. With looks that bounce from rich blue polos to fresh white jumpsuits, Tej has style. But let’s keep it contemporary and go with what he seems to be rocking in the new movie — an oatmeal long sleeve henley with jeans and a watch to check when it’s time to jet.
Han Lue (Sung Kang)
Han Lue, who we believed dead but the F9 trailer implies otherwise, looks to be rocking a French burgundy crew neck t-shirt with dark grey pants and a black coat these days. In past looks, Han has been known to wear grey, often in a v-neck with jeans and a black bomber jacket.
Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson)
Former Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs is one determined dude. He always gets the job done, and he always does it looking fresh. Like Dom, Hobbs is all about his muscles, but he’s waaay more ripped. In fact, the two of them often rock the same outfit — a black crew neck t-shirt — except Hobbs tends to add a black leather vest or some black or green tactical gear.
Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham)
Former intelligence officer and mercenary Deckard Shaw is a scrappy, stylish British man who can rock pretty much anything with ease. Although a fan of suits, the man’s go-to action get-up is a leather bomber jacket and black crew neck t-shirt.
