How do I keep a cotton t-shirt from fading and shrinking?
The two biggest enemies of a tee are hot water and high heat drying, as both cause color loss and fiber contraction. Our Heritage Cotton Crew is made from 100% midweight cotton (160gsm) and is specifically designed to hold up over time, but following these steps will keep it looking sharp for years.
Wash cold with like colors, tumble dry on low, and never bleach. Turning the shirt inside-out before washing also protects the outer surface from abrasion. The Heritage's fabric actually softens and develops character with each wash. The more you wear it, the better it gets.
How do I find a t-shirt that fits well in the shoulders and chest?
Stop settling for t-shirts that don't fit you. Most mass-produced tees either hang on your frame through the torso or pull uncomfortably across the shoulders and arm pits. The Heritage Cotton Crew is engineered to break that cycle.
We’ve ditched the boxy look for a better fit that’s structured where you want it (the shoulders) and clean where you need it (the waist). It’s 100% premium cotton crafted with one goal, making sure you actually feel confident in a basic tee again.
What's the difference between the Heritage tees and the StratuSoft tees?
Both t-shirts feature our signature fit, designed to be tailored through the chest and shoulders without being boxy. However, they behave differently:
- The Heritage cotton tee: Being 100% natural fiber, it has a firmer drape. It provides a more solid silhouette and will soften and mold to your body over time.
- Our proprietary StratuSoft cotton/poly blend: The touch of polyester gives it added flexibility. It has a more fluid drape that moves with you and resists shrinking or wrinkling.
Do cotton t-shirts stretch out over time?
Pure cotton doesn't snap back the way a cotton-poly blend does. Over time, lightweight cotton tees can lose shape around the collar and body, especially if over-dried or pulled on roughly. Midweight cotton (160gsm and above) resists this better. The Heritage Crew's ribbed collar is engineered to maintain its shape and prevent rolling, one of the most common problems on cotton tees.
